    Saudi Arabian Airlines to pay USD1.6m for breaking EU law

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Airlines is now obliged to pay a total of USD1.6 million after breaking EU carbon emissions rules, marking an unprecedented event for Gulf aviation to be fined as such, Arabian Business reported.

    The law entails that all airplanes must operate with their own airport pay for carbon emissions caused many voices to rise against it since its inauguration back in 2012.

    However, the Saudi Arabian Airline is set on no compliance whatsoever regarding the obligations. Other countries also refused to adhere to the law of the EU such as Russia and India.
