Jordan, Japan unite to establish water projects at USD25m

(MENAFN) The Water Authority in Jordan has inked a vital deal with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to launch local projects valued at USD25 million.

Accordingly, the planned schemes will be mainly targeted at supporting and developing the water network in communities hosting Syrian refugees in the northern governorates.

Moreover, it's no secret that Jordan has little to no major natural sources for water considering the fact it's land-locked, and has the sun shining 300+ days of the year.

The water network came under heavy pressure as a result of the Syrian refugee crisis, and so came the extreme need for such projects to enhance the network's infrastructure.
