    Tunisia to launch USD4.7m public-private partnership projects

    (MENAFN) Tunisia was unveiled to be launching public-private partnership initiatives at a value of USD4.7 million in various fields, including energy and transportation.

    The projects were explained by Tunisian investment minister Zied Ladhari to be targeting the recovery of the economy as well as opening employment opportunities.

    The partnership projects were confirmed to be covering a deepwater port to be established at Ennfidha city and subway in Sfax city, besides other water, environment, logistics and technology initiatives.

    The minister announced "we will present next week at an international conference major projects aimed at re-attracting new investments that will contribute to the creation of employment opportunities, raise Tunisia's foreign currency revenues and revive growth."

    Ladhari further added "today investors should know that Tunisia is a competitive destination with many privileges... We aim to attract investors from Europe, America, and the Gulf."
