Morocco hits USD23.6b in net foreign reserves

(MENAFN) Morocco registered a 2.6 percent decline last month in its net foreign reserves, standing at USD23.6 billion.

In comparison to figures recorded late 2018, net international reserves in Morocco recorded a 1.5 percent fall, the Central Bank unveiled in its data.

It comes after a resolution Morocco made January last year to assume a flexible exchange rate along with increasing the band of dirham's fluctuation to hit 2.5 percent.

This decision was part of efforts to float the Moroccan currency along with pushing the economy to become more resilient against external challenges.
