    Saudi banks offer new retail housing loans value SAR 8.72 billion

    (MENAFN) According to data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), in October, Saudi banks offered SAR 8.72 billion worth of new retail housing loans, up 185 percent yearly.


    In comparison with September, housing loans increased by around SAR 2.07 billion; villa mortgages accounted for 81 percent, or SAR 7.7 billion, of the entire housing loans given in October.


    At SAR 1.03 billion and SAR 613 million, apartments and land schemes were followed.


    As many as 20,894 deals were signed linking banks and people through October, a 267 percent yearly rise.
