    Turkey's daily electricity usage drop by 11.8 percent

    (MENAFN) Official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) showed on Monday that, Turkey's daily electricity usage dropped by 11.8 percent to 715,881 megawatt-hours on Sunday in Turkey.


    According to data from TEIAS, hourly power usage peaked at 19:00 local time with 34,750 megawatt-hours, as the country's electricity usage decreased to its lowest point of 26,518 megawatt-hours at 06:00.


    Total electricity making arrived at 709,957 megawatt-hours on Sunday, with a 12.28 percent decrease in comparison with the last day; the majority of output came from imported coal plants totaling 204,819 megawatt-hours.


    Lignite and natural gas plants followed with 146,060 megawatt-hours and 144,165 megawatt-hours, respectively.
