    Abu Dhabi records non-oil foreign trade of AED154.4 billion

    (MENAFN) Statistics Center - Abu Dhabi, SCAD data showed that, non-oil foreign trade of AED154.4 billion was recorded by Abu Dhabi which is a drop of 8.8 percent year-to-date from AED169.3 billion in the same period the year before.


    The drop was because of a 12.7 percent turn down in imports (AED75.4 billion), in addition to a 14.8 percent drop in non-oil exports (AED41.4 billion) from January to September 2019, as said in a SCAD report, but the Statistics Center said that, worth of re-exports grew by 9 percent in the same period.


    In September 2019, the total trade figures for the emirate dropped by 2.7 percent in comparison with figures in 2018, according to SCAD, adding that, the reduce was because of a 29.9 percent decrease in exports; the total worth of imports and re-exports rose by 11.5 and 3.47 percent, respectively.


    According to the SCAD, Saudi Arabia as the top non-oil foreign trade partner to Abu Dhabi, with a total of AED4.55 billion, followed by France, United States, Japan and Kuwait.
