    Oman inks maritime collaboration pact with India

    (MENAFN) In a statement, Oman's Ministry of Transport revealed that the GCC state secured a deal with India aimed at boosting collaboration among both sides when it comes to the maritime transport and ports sphere.

    Omani Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport Said bin Hamdoon Al-Harthy penned the contract alongside Indian Ambassador to Oman Munu Mahawar, according to the Omani ministry.

    Through the agreement, Oman and India will escalate development in their maritime navigation cooperation along with strengthening ties among Omani and Indian firms and institutions in the field of shipping and maritime transport, the ministry affirmed.

    The deal is also assured to ease the launch of joint initiatives in maritime transport, ship building, repair and recycling, as well as marine information technology applications such as simulation development, port facilities and related marine activities.
