    Non-founding foreign investors increase their ownership in Saudi Stock Exchange

    (MENAFN) According to market data, non-founding foreign investors, namely swap holders, residents and qualified foreign investors (QFIs), lift their ownership up in the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) to 1.62 percent in the week ending December 26, from 1.59 percent in the last week, on net purchases value SAR 658.4 million.


    Ownership of non-founding foreign investors, who do not include strategic partners, hit an all-time high last week and GCC investors' ownership in the Saudi market stayed unchanged for the week at 0.49 percent in comparison with last week.


    As said in data by Argaam, GCC investors' ownership saw a slow drop in April 2017 to 2.40 percent, previous to decreasing to 2.06 percent in average last year.


    Foreign investors" ownership, including strategic partners, grew by 0.04 percent to 2.19 percent in the week, in comparison with 2.15 percent in the last week; founding foreign investors accounted for 0.57 percent of the total foreign ownership in the Saudi market for the week ending December 26.
