Jordan: reduction in Ministry of Energy, Mineral Resources 2020 budget
(MENAFN) The Lower House's Financial Committee approved the total drop in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources 2020 budget that totaled JD14, 972 million.
In agreement with the committee's decision, a number of the Ministry's budget items have been decreased in the capital and recent spending sections, according to Ministry's spokesperson, Mashhour Abu Eid.
JD3 million were allocated from "Fils Al Reef" for the project of installing solar cells systems for families benefiting from the National Aid Fund, and JD2 million were allocated from "Fils Al Reef" for a project to replace street lighting units in all the Kingdom's municipalities with energy-saving units, were the reduced items.
the reduced items also include as many as JD1 million allocated to the wage item for the storage and recycling of strategic stocks, and JD8 million allocated for the completion of the natural gas pipeline project / Sheikh Hussein crossing (land acquisitions).
