    Turkey's benchmark stock index decreases 1.98 percent from previous close

    (MENAFN) On Friday, Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the day at 109,600.53 points, a drop of 1.98 percent from the earlier close; Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index began the day at 111,653.72 points and from the daily close, it lost 2,214.54 points from Thursday's close of 111,815.08 points.


    It was among 108,774.74, points and 112,345.07 points during the day.


    The total market worth of the BIST 100 was around USD124 billion by market close, with a daily trading volume of USD1.3 billion.


    On the last transaction day of the week, in comparison with Thursday, 6 stocks on the index grew and 94 decreased.
