(MENAFN) Based on official data compiled on Tuesday by the Turkish statistical authority, the productivity of hen egg dropped in March by 2.8 percent on an annual basis to 1.7 billion units.

TurkStat declared that in the same period, the chicken meat output increased by 9.3 percent, reaching 191,629 tons.

In addition, the production of slaughtered chickens rose 10.5 percent in March, whereas the figure of meat increased annually by 17.2 percent.

The next hen egg output statistics will be released on June 11, according to TurkStat.
