    Capability of home appliance manufacture attains 20 million devices for each year

    (MENAFN) IRIB reported that Hossein Modares Khiabani Iran's Acting Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister stated that the country's home appliance producers at present have the ability to produce 20 million devices every year.

    Khiabani stated that the information for producing up to 70 percent of the home appliances in Iran has been indigenized by local corporations.

    Hossein Modares reminded that for a number of devices like air coolers, 90 percent of the products are locally-made, but for some others like TV sets the number is somewhat between 60 and 70 percent.

    Declaring some of the confronts that this sector is now facing, like the confusion of the foreign exchange market, Khiabani stated that in spite of all the troubles, the production of home appliances has increased considerably in the present Iranian agenda year 1399 (initiated on March 20).
