    Iran: Furniture exports reaches lower than USD10m

    (MENAFN) ISNA reported that Hassan Ahmadian stated that the readuced quantity of export has been because of the global outburst of COVID-19 and some problems in the providing of the raw materials, adding it is while the country had exported USD80 million of furniture in the last Iranian year.

    He stated that if the issues caused by providing the needed raw materials carry on, the exports will decline even more, and given the eight-percent shares of the furniture industry in the country"s vocation, it will agravate the redundancy..

    Ahmadian added that the local need for furniture has been completely provided by the local manufacterers in the last year, while the furniture import has been increasing to USD500 million in some years.

    More than 80,000 units are resently active in Iran"s furniture industry..
