Iran: Providing electricity at IRENEX good for customers, suppliers
(MENAFN) Most of the electricity produced by the private companies is bought by the Energy Ministry on a warranted price base, and a part of it is plainly sold to industrial establishments or commercial segments through the country"s energy exchange market named IRENEX.
The providing of electricity at IRENEX has been following an over trend so that over the last two years the contributions have more than tripled to over 500 million kilowatt-hours (kWh); Many of the country"s big industrial establishments have been buying their needed electricity from the energy exchange with more fruitful prices.
The government has also been giving boosts for private power companies to push them to provide their produced electricity at the energy exchange while declaring directives to high-consuming segments to force them to buy their needed electricity from the energy exchange market.
