Turkey to participate in global industrial competition
(MENAFN) The Turkish industry and technology minister stated on Wednesday, 14th of October, that there is a plan to expand Turkey's capacity, by creating a new executive industrialization committee that will work on making the country a vital participant of global competition, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In an event held that same day, in the capital, Ankara, Mustafa Varank said "We have taken a historic step to strengthen the Turkish industry and technology ecosystem, and the most critical structural reform of the recent period has been made."
Varank added that the decisions made by the committee, will be towards improving the industry, and will be made together, taking into consideration the input of relevant ministries.
"We will accelerate the coordination between institutions in areas such as finance, customs, environment, infrastructure, logistics, and energy and help the investors see the future very clearly," he underlined.
He concluded with; "We will encourage the localization of critical products in supply chains and enrich domestic production diversity, and take steps to strengthen the capital structures of manufacturing industry companies."
