    Turkey's benchmark stock index increases 0.60 percent

    (MENAFN)On Tuesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,544.05 points, improved 0.60 percent.

    At Monday’s close Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index increased 9.14 points from 1,534.91 points, opening the day at 1,538.56 points.

    The BIST 100 averaged amid 1,535.59 and 1,551.83 points on Tuesday, 39 stocks on the index increased, 59 dropped, and two were flat compared to the preceding close.

    The benchmark index hit high daily trading rate of 32 billion Turkish liras (USD4.5 billion), ending the day with a market rate of 1.2 trillion Turkish liras (USD165 billion),
