    Turkey's benchmark stock index drops 0.12 percent on Monday

    (MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey's benchmark stock index dropped 0.12 percent to close at 1,555.47 points.

    From the previous week's close of 1,557.39 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 1.92 points, opening the week at 1,558.59 points.

    The BIST 100 averaged amid 1,553.49 and 1,566.39 points, 31 stocks on the index increased, 64 dropped, and five were flat in comparison with the previous close.

    The benchmark index recorded a daily trading rate of 18.5 billion Turkish liras (USD2.5 billion), after ending the day with a market rate of some 1.2 trillion Turkish liras (USD156.8 billion).
