    Turkey's benchmark stock index closes Wednesday at 1,420.00 points

    (MENAFN)On Wednesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 1,420.00 points, increased 0.26 percent compared to the last close.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 3.7 points from 1,401.52 points at Tuesday's close, opening the day at 1,420.82 points.

    The BIST 100 averaged amid 1,409.33 points and 1,425.04 points, with 52 stocks on the index increasing, 43 dropped, and five flat compared to the last close.

    The benchmark index posted a daily trading rate of 15.6 billion liras (USD1.9 billion), ending the day with a market worth of about 1 trillion Turkish liras (USD121.3 billion).
