    Iran: Production of 32 major mining, industrial products improve in 2020

    (MENAFN)Iranian Deputy Industry Minister Saeed Zarandi stated that the production of 32 major mining and industrial products improved in the first month of this Iranian year, in comparison to the same time span of the last year.

    The stated products include all kinds of home appliances (washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.), passenger and heavy vehicles, paper, leather, motor oil, fiber and chipboard, steel, copper, aluminum, cement, ceramic tiles, etc, Zarandi further stated.

    According to IRNA, the production enlargement was accomplished in spite of the specific economic conditions of the country as a result of the US sanctions and the pandemic that set problems in the production sector.

    The country in the stated month exported USD3 billion worth of the non-oil products, as the worth of the imports of such goods reached USD2.8 billion, both following an upward trend.
