    Iran’s foreign debt reach USD8.84B

    (MENAFN)According to IRIB, the recent data by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) show that the country’s foreign debt amounted at USD8.84 billion at the end of the fifth Iranian month (August 22), dropped 3.3 percent from USD9.142 billion at the end of the previous year.

    The data further declared that from the total foreign debt, USD6.36 billion was mid-term and long-term debts as USD2.48 billion was short-term debts.

    IRIB also declared that at the end of the first three months of the current Iranian year, Iran’s external debts stood at USD8.744 billion, dropped 4.35 percent from USD9.142 billion at the end of the last year.

    Furthermore; some USD6.733 billion of the total foreign debt in the stated period was mid-term and long-term debts as USD2.011 billion was short-term debts.
