    Turkey’s foreign trade deficit drops 47.5 percent on annual basis in September

    (MENAFN)Officiall figures stated that, Turkey’s foreign trade deficit dropped 47.5 percent on a yearly basis to USD2.5 billion in September.

    According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), the country’s exports and imports witnessed a yearly increase of 30 percent and 11.9 percent to stand at USD20.78 billion and USD23.3 billion, correspondingly.

    Turkey’s exports and imports stood at USD19.96 billion and USD19.6 billion, excluding the energy and gold trade.

    TurkStat further declared that “Foreign trade surplus, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, was USD1.38 billion in September 2021.”

    The proportion of manufacturing industry products in overall exports stood at 94.6 percent, followed by agriculture-forestry-fishing with 2.9 percent and mining-quarrying with 1.9 percent.
