    Iran’s benchmark stock index falls 17,301 points on Saturday

    (MENAFN) On Saturday, TEDPIX, Iran’s benchmark stock index of Tehran Stock Exchange, plummeted 17,301 points to 1.439 million (the first day of Iranian calendar week).

    According to reports, more than 5.748 billion securities value 45.521 trillion rials (about USD1.083 billion) were exchanged at the TSE.

    The first index of the market fell 13,916 points, and the second market’s index dropped 30,950 points.

    TEDPIX increased 58,000 points (4.1 percent) to reach 1.456 million in the previous Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

    Throughout last week, the largely followed indices were of Isfahan Refining Corporation, National Iranian Copper Industries Firm, Mobarakeh Steel Firm, Social Security Investment Corporation, Bandar Abbas Refining Corporation, Iran Khodro Group, and Saipa Firm.
