    Turkish budget balance witnesses shortfall of USD1.7 billion in October

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish Treasury and Finance Ministry announcement on Monday, the country’s central government budget balance witnessed a shortfall of 17.4 billion Turkish liras (USD1.7 billion) during last month.

    The number was 4.9 billion Turkish liras (USD490 million) in the corresponding period a year ago.
    The nation’s budget profits jumped by 22.9 percent annually to reach 114 billion liras (USD11.4 billion) a month ago.

    Turkey’s budget expenses amounted at 131.4 billion liras (USD13.1 billion) when compared with 34.6 percent from the previous year.

    The budget balance, without interest payments, recorded a shortfall of 3.1 billion liras (USD310 million) in the mentioned time span, whereas it saw an excess of USD6.9 billion ($690 million) in the same time frame in 2020.
