    Turkey’s abroad debt decreases in September

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s central bank stated on Tuesday, the country’s private industry’s outstanding external debts in September amounted at USD171.6 billion, lower USD1.4 billion in comparison to last year’s end.

    The industry’s short-term debts, leaving out trade credits, obtained from outside of the country stood at USD8.5 billion in September, lower by USD1.2 billion from 2020’s end.

    Around 82.2USD of short-term loans involved the liabilities of financial organizations, whereas 17.8 percent includes liabilities of non-financial organizations.

    Divided into currency, 36.7 percent of the nation’s short-term credit was in dollars, 35.7 percent in euros, 23.7 percent in Turkish liras, as well as 3.9 percent in other currencies.
