    Turkey’s consumer confidence indicator falls in November

    (MENAFN) According to Turkey’s statistical authority announcement on Monday, the nation’s consumer confidence indicator recorded a decrease in November in comparison to the previous month. The index is an important measure of the whole economy, showing individual’s views on financial situation and the overall economic state, as well as expenses and saving tendencies.

    As reported by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), the consumer confidence index stood at 71.1 this month, lower from 76.8 last month. All sub-indices declined during the month with the financial state anticipation getting worse.

    The financial situation expectancy index across the upcoming 12-month time span plummeted 8.8 percent on a monthly basis to hit 68.9 in November.

    The overall economic situation anticipation index dropped by 8.1 percent to hit 68.2 during this month, whereas the index for the financial standing of household fell 7.5 percent to hit 56.1.
