UK considers UAE as important market as it seeks to increase exports by 2030

(MENAFN) The Emirate is a major market for Britain's growing trade goals, as the UK seeks to increase the number of trades that export products and services all over the world to the double and to join a trade agreement with the broader Gulf region.

The British Chamber of Commerce is funding the British government's strategy to export products and services that value £1 trillion (about USD1.33) each year by 2030, a major rise on the £600bn (about USD802.9) worth exported last year, with the UAE and wider Gulf region a significant part of that goal.

The British Chambers of Commerce, a trade group constituting 53 credited businesses in the UK and 76 abroad, involving the British Business Groups in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, is this week visiting vital locations in UAE ahead of the World Chambers Congress in Dubai, which begins on Tuesday.

Director general of the BCC, Shevaun Haviland reported to The National that enhancing trade movement between the UK and UAE is “a huge part of the reason for going to spend time with our business groups” in the UAE.
