    Iran trade of commodities surpass USD9b in 7 months

    (MENAFN) According to the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iranian trade with the associates of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) surpassed USD9.233 billion during the period from march 21 till October 22 of the present Iranian calendar year to record a 48.5 percent surge on an annual basis.

    Based on Rouhollah Latifi, the trade value with the stated nations also jumped by 43 percent when compared to the corresponding period of last year, as IRNA reported.

    As told, in the stated time span Iran traded more than 20,327,839 tons of goods with ECO member nations involving Turkey, Afghanistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as Uzbekistan. Iran exported 17,440,617 tons of supplies that value more than USD6,030,544 billion to the mentioned countries during the same time frame.

    He stated that main export destinations of Iran’s commodities in the mentioned union were Turkey with around USD3.397 billion of imports, Afghanistan with USD1.125 billion, Pakistan with USD655.154 million, and Azerbaijan with USD272.958 million.
