    Iran’s non-oil trade value surges 40 percent in 8 months

    (MENAFN) According to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran’s non-oil trade worth increased to 40 percent throughout the period from March 21 till November 21 of the current Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the corresponding period of last year.

    According to IRIB reports, Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi stated that country has traded more than 110.3 million tons of non-crude commodities that value USD63.1 billion with other nations during the mentioned time span.

    Based on the IRICA head, the volume of trade in the stated time frame also jumped by 43.5 percent when compared to last fiscal year’s figures. Moreover, the official set the mentioned period’s non-crude exports at 83.7 million tons worth USD31.1 billion, with a 42-percent increase in worth and 10.5-percent surge in volume.

    Mir-Ashrafi mentioned that petrochemical goods amounted for 43 percent of the overall value of the exports in the stated eight-month period, with 39.8 million tons at value USD13.3 billion of the stated goods being exported to external markets.
