    Residence costs in Iran increases 1.2 percent in Tehran

    (MENAFN) Based on a report by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), the average housing cost increased 1.2 percent in the capital Tehran in the eighth Iranian calendar month of Aban (ended on November 21), in comparison to the previous month.

    According to the CBI data, the average cost for one square meter of a housing unit in Tehran amounted at 320.1 million rials (about USD7,621) throughout the stated time span, as IRIB reported. Moreover, the regular residential price during the mentioned month also jumped 17.7 percent when compared to the corresponding month of the last fiscal year.

    Though, the number of property contracts amounted at 7,300 in the capital city during the eighth month of this year, soaring 33.5 percent and 63.5 percent, versus last month, and the corresponding month of the previous year, in turn.

    The residence market in Tehran was the second-highest returning market in Iran amongst the nation’s four main markets in the past Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20) with 85 percent yearly development.
