    Aramco allocates amount of USD68b to expand its Jafurah gas field

    (MENAFN) According to Aramco’s CEO statement in media briefing at the company's headquarter in Dhahran, the firm is using USD68 billion to improve its huge unconventional gas field Jafurah.

    Answering Arab News' question on the budget of the scheme, Amin Nasser said that the first stage is going to cost USD24 billion and is going to be finished as of the end of 2024, early 2025.

    He added, that the second stage is going to cost USD44 billion and is going to add to 2 billion standard cubic feet per day of sales gas, and about 600,000 barrels each day of condensates, a very light kind of crude oil.

    On Monday, Aramco inked deals that value USD10 billion with global and national firms to begin the expansion of the field. Nasser stated that all these deals are part of the USD24 billion allotted for the first stage.
