    Turkish gross domestic product increases by 7.4 percent in July-September period

    (MENAFN) On Tuesday, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) stated that the country gross domestic product (GDP) rose 7.4 percent in the period from July to September of this year in comparison with the corresponding time span of the previous year.

    TurkStat mentioned that the overall value of commodities produced and facilities provided at present prices amounted at 1.9 trillion Turkish liras (USD225.5 billion) during the stated period.

    But, the figure was under market prediction as a group of 18 economists surveyed by Anadolu Agency the previous week expected the average annual growth of 8.1 percent in the mentioned time span of three months.

    The economists also projected that Turkey's yearly GDP this year would increase by 10 percent on average. In comparison to the quarter that precedes it, the country's GDP jumped 2.7 percent in the July-September period.
