    Turkey takes place as the second-fastest growing economy after Chile in OECD

    (MENAFN) According to the international group announcement on Tuesday, Turkey was the second-fastest growing economy in the July-September period this this year amongst the associate countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) taking place after Chile.

    Chile registered the highest gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate with 17.3 percent, whereas Turkey’s economy jumped 7.4 percent.

    Based on the OECD figures, other top five fastest-growing economies amongst the OECD nations were Britian (6.6 percent), Hungary (6.1 percent) and Lithuania (6 percent). Both Slovakia and Japan at (1.3 percent), and lastly Germany (2.6 percent) recorded the lowest growth rates.

    The OECD region economy increased by 4.7 percent on a yearly basis during the mentioned period of 2021; economic growth in July-September declined in comparison to the last quarter, when the figure stood at 19.6 percent.
