    Iran, European Union trade worth hits USD4.5b

    (MENAFN) The value of trade between Iran and the European Union hit €3.4 billion (about USD4.53b) throughout the first three quarters of this current year, registering a two-percent growth in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year.

    Mehr News Agency reported on the daya published by the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA), that the country exported €554 million (about USD738.1) worth of goods to the bloc in the mentioned period of 9 months, whereas importing commodities stood at €2.7 billion (about USD3.59b).

    The TCCIMA data demonstrated that the trade between Iran and the European Union in last years’ first three quarters amounted at €3.345 billion (about USD4.45). According to the stated data, the exports from Iran to Europe in the mentioned nine months jumped by 14 percent, whereas the imports have fell to 0.6 percent on a yearly basis.

    Iran had exported merchandises that value €563 million (about USD750.1) to the Bloc’s countries during the time span from January to September of this year, recording a 13-percent increase in comparison to the corresponding time frame in 2019.
