    Predictions for Turkey’s present account balance to register USD2.3b surplus

    (MENAFN) Based on an Anadolu Agency survey published on Thursday, the Turkish state present account balance is predicted to register a surplus of USD2.32 billion for the month of October.

    Moreover, the Turkish Central Bank is going to publish the balance of payments data in the upcoming Monday.

    Predictions of a group of 12 economists for the mentioned month varied between USD1.1 billion and USD3.2 billion.

    The end of this year’s present account balance is predicted to record a shortage of USD15.3 billion, with predictions varying between USD10.5 billion and USD20 billion.

    During September, the nation's current account insufficiency stood at USD1.6 billion, increasing the 12-month continuing deficit to USD18.4 billion.
