    Iran’s vehicle production increases 4.7 percent

    (MENAFN) Iran’s vehicle production has increased 4.7 percent during the period from March 21 till November 21 of the present Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the corresponding period of last year.

    Based on the data published by the Industry, Mining, and Trade Ministry, Iranian vehicle manufacturers made 651,408 cars during the mentioned time span of this year, whereas the figure amounted at 622,144 during the same time frame of the past year.

    Throughout the stated eight months, IKCO produced 319,710 cars, which was 0.1 percent less than the production in the equivalent period of 2020. SAIPA produced 283,593 cars during the stated time span. Moreover, production by this automaker increased 6.2 percent versus the same period of last year.

    Deputy Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Mehdi Sadeqi Niaraki has stated that the nation’s vehicle production is predicted to rise by 50 percent in the upcoming Iranian calendar year (starts on March 21, 2022).
