Turkish economy struggles with high inflation

(MENAFN) As Turkey’s economy struggles with issues, such as high inflation and a drop in worth for the lira, the national currency, even as the stock exchange reaches new records, one analyst directed to a primary concern in the high percentage of products the nation imports.

Based on a US-educated economist and expert on Islamic economics and finance, Monzer Kahf statement that this is particularly apparent in Turkish industry as well as agriculture.

Kahf also mentioned that this is a "serious issue" that should be talked about at the microeconomic level, particularly as it impacts export pricing.

He also stated that private short-term loan, particularly from foreign banks, was high in the last ten years or more, indicating that compared with corporate productivity, cash flow as well as corporate maturing debts are hard to manage in the short term, "especially if we let the Turkish lira dip more."
