    Iran’s major stock index of TSE falls 25,249 points on Monday

    (MENAFN) On Monday TEDPIX, the benchmark stock index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 25,249 points to reach 1.295 million. As stated, more than 5.131 billion securities that value 30.341 trillion rials (about USD722.4 million) were exchanged at the stock market.

    The first index of the market fell 22,246 points and the second index of the market plummeted 39,071 points. Moreover, TEDPIX soared 9,000 points (less than one percent) to hit 1.349 million during the previous Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

    In last week, the largely followed indices were of Isfahan Refining Corporation, Sabzevar Pars Steel Complex, Social Security Investment Firm, and Barekat Pharmaceutical Group.

    According to the head of Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO), the government is implementing new policies to prevent pre-ordered pricing in the stock exchange for the long run.
