Turkey, Ukraine trade increases to 50 percent

(MENAFN) According to Ukraine’s economy minister statement on Friday, Turkey and Ukraine’s trade jumped to 50 percent sometime between January and September of 2021 to USD5 billion.

Based on what Yulia Svyrydenko reported to Anadolu Agency in an interview, during the first three quarters of this year, Turkey was put in the fifth place in the list of Ukraine’s biggest trade associates, behind China, Poland, Germany and Russia.

She stated that the both sides are eager to enhance their mutual trade to USD10 billion, and talked about several means to boost collaborations in fields that vary from tourism to energy in the 12th Ukraine-Turkey Intergovernmental Trade Commission Meeting.

She also mentioned, investment collaboration between both nations is “at a fairly low level,” but it definitely increased in the later six months of this year.
