    Iran’s basic commodities unloading increases to 25 percent

    (MENAFN) According to the head of Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) announcement on Sunday, unpacking of basic commodities at Iran’s harbor has increased 25 percent during the present Iranian calendar year (started on March 21), in comparison to last year.

    Ali-Akbar Safaei stated that the largest quantity of import of basic commodities was linked to Imam Khomeini harbor (in southwestern Khuzestan province).

    He stated, "currently, 17 ships are unloading and loading goods at the same time," and adding, "we need 75,000 trucks to distribute basic goods."

    The official also mentioned, “we unload the basic goods in the shortest time and we do not have to worry about the supply of the basic goods.”
