    Basic goods value over USD500m traded at Iran Mercantile Exchange

    (MENAFN) About 2.076 million tons of goods that value USD543 million were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the previous Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday), with an increase of three percent in worth and four percent in capacity in comparison to a week earlier.

    As stated by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the exchange witnessed trade of 1.546 million tons of goods worth over 301 million on its metals and mineral trading space.

    Goods sold on this trading space involved 1.153 million tons of cement, 247,502 tons of steel, 86,000 tons of sponge iron, 40,000 tons of iron ore, 10,125 tons of aluminum, 7,420 tons of copper, 2,000 tons of cast iron ingots, 1,145 tons of zinc, 140 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 18 tons of precious metals concentrate as well as 1 kg of gold bars.
