    CBI of Iran sets GDP growth at 3.3 percent

    (MENAFN) According to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) most recent report, it has set the increase of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during the first six months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21–September 22) at 3.3 percent.

    Based on the stated data, the figure stood at 0.5 percent with oil left out. The nation’s GDP amounted at 7.53 quadrillion rials (about USD25.965 billion).

    In the mentioned time span, crude and services fields jumped 15.1 percent, and 5.7 percent, in turn, whereas agriculture industry went through negative progress of two percent, and also industries and mining field had a negative development of 1.9 percent.

    International Monetary Fund (IMF), in its newest World Economic Outlook report called “Recovery During a Pandemic” released in October, had expected a 2.5-percent real GDP growth for the country during this year, without any alteration from the fund’s preceding report.
