    Turkish bourse ends with low record for 3rd consecutive day

    (MENAFN) On Tuesday, the Turkish major stock index ended at 1,892.02 points, closing with losses for the third trading day in a row.

    Opening the day at 2,103.56 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index fell by 164.34 points, or 7.99 percent, from Monday’s ending of 2,056.36 points. The lowest worth of the index throughout the day stood at 1,884.66 points, whereas its all-time high amounted at 2,103.56 points.

    The overall market worth of BIST 100 was nearly 1.52 trillion Turkish liras (USD86.8 billion) by market end, with an everyday exchange capacity of 37.5 billion liras (USD2.87 billion).

    Eight stocks on the index jumped throughout the day, 91 plummeted, and one stayed at the same value in comparison to Monday’s end.
