    Turkey’s consumer confidence index drops this month

    (MENAFN) Based on the Turkish statistical authority statement on Tuesday, Turkish consumer confidence dropped for the third month in a row this month. Moreover, TurkStat declared that the consumer confidence index plummeted to 68.9 during December, dropping down by 3.1 percent from 71.1 in November.

    The index is a key measuring tool of the economy’s complete performance, showing the individual’s opinions on fiscal position as well as the overall economic state, along with expenses and saving tendencies.

    All sub-indices worsened during December with the fiscal state prediction for the upcoming 12 months deteriorating the most.

    TurkStat also mentioned in its statement, "the financial situation expectation of household index in the next 12-month period which was 68.9 in November decreased by 5.3% and became 65.2 in December."
