Turkish currency skyrockets against external currencies

(MENAFN) On Thursday, the Turkish currency jumped fiercely in recently declared parity rates against external currencies, rates published each morning by the Turkish Central Bank for FX-protected lira deposit accounts.

On Wednesday, the US dollar/Turkish lira trading rate amounted at 11.64 for buying and 11.66 for selling, dropping from 12.34 and 12.37, correspondingly.

Based on the bank, euro rates were 13.18 for buying and 13.21 for selling, decreasing from 13.91 and 13.94.
