Saudi Arabia’s exports increases around USD28b

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s exports nearly registered a two-fold increase during October, enhanced by the sustained international economic rebound and greater hydrocarbon costs that increased the worth of oil exports from the country.

Based on data from the country’s General Authority for Statistics, total exports from the Arab globe’s largest economy jumped 90 per cent on a yearly basis in October to 106.2 billion riyals (USD28.32bn), increasing from 55.9bn riyals posted in the corresponding time span of last year, overall commodities exports jumped by 11.5bn riyals (about USD3.06b), or 12.2 per cent on a monthly basis, from the September rate.

According to the authority's monthly trade report, “this increase originated mainly from oil exports, which rose by 45.5bn riyals, or 123 per cent in the same period”, as the stake of oil exports in overall exports from the nation climbed to 77.6 per cent in October from 66.1 per cent during the corresponding time frame of the previous year.
