    Turkey intends to grow trade capacity with Albania to reach USD1B

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish parliament speaker statement on Tuesday, the country intends to grow its mutual exchange capacity with Albania to reach USD1 billion. Mustafa Sentop was talking with his Albanian partner Lindita Nikolla in the Turkish capital Ankara.

    Sentop expressed that over 600 Turkish firms were functioning in Albania and that they hire nearly 15,000 workers.

    He also stated that with USD3.5 billion worth of investments, Turkey is the largest external investor in Albania. The Turkish parliament head declared that his nation completely backs the process of Albania joining the EU bloc.

    Nikolla, for her role, expressed thanks for Turkey for its support after the earthquake in Albania that happened two years ago which took away the lives of over 50 citizens and wounded more than 3,000 others. The quake also caused serious harm to substructure and constructions in 11 cities.
