    Turkish major stock index ends Monday higher by 0.58 percent

    (MENAFN) On Monday, the Turkish major stock index ended at 2,045.16 points, increasing by 0.58 percent from the last end.

    Opening the day at 2,049.54 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index jumped 11.84 points from Friday's ending of 2,033.32 points. The lowest worth of the index throughout the day amounted at 2,045.16 points, while its highest value amounted at 2,071.81.

    The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was about 1.6 trillion Turkish liras (around USD119 billion) by market end, with an everyday exchanging capacity of 34 billion liras (USD2.5 billion).

    Throughout the day, 63 stocks on the index soared, 31 plummeted, and the rest stayed at the same value in comparison to Friday's end.
