    Iran’s Golestan province record rise in exports of 63 percent

    (MENAFN) Based on an Iranian provincial official, the exports worth from Golestan province, located in the northeast of the country, surged 63 percent during the previous Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20), from its prior year.

    Ebrahim Hosseini, the head of the province’s customs department, stated that more than 402,000 tons of goods valued at USD183.6 million were exported from the region in the past year, showing also 51 percent increase regarding weight.

    He mentioned polystyrene, dairy products, dates, pistachios, cement, ceramic and tiles, and tomato paste as the main exported goods, and Kazakhstan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Bulgaria, Afghanistan and Romania as the major export countries.
