    Turkish banks record USD4.3b income in March

    (MENAFN) On Friday, the nation’s banking watchdog stated that Turkish banks witnessed a net income of 63.2 billion Turkish liras (USD4.3 billion) two months ago.

    Total possessions of the Turkish investment division totaled to 10.2 trillion Turkish liras (USD695.4 billion) in march, increasing from 4.9 trillion Turkish liras (USD744.5 billion) in 2021, as shown by most recent information from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA).

    Loans, the biggest sub-section of assets, amounted to 5.5 trillion Turkish liras (USD376.8 billion) with a 90 percent yearly increase.

    On the responsibilities side, payments detained at lenders in Turkey – the biggest liabilities item – was up around 6 trillion Turkish liras (USD409 billion), over 100% from the same period of 2021.
